He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Lee Lovell and Betty Mayne Lovell; and his brother Gerald E. Lovell. He is survived by: his children, Julie Lovell, Kim Ferrell and Beth Lovell; his siblings, James Lovell, Arlin Lovell and Veronica Noell; and his grandchildren, Remington, Kannon, Colton, Haleigh, Kevin and Christian. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
