He was predeceased by: his former wife Martha Haynes; his parents, Lavon Haynes and Francis Haynes; his sister Patricia Jennings; and his grandson Clint Duke.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Haynes; his daughters, Tina Duke (Mike), Toni Whaley (Chip) and Teresa Smith; his stepchildren, April Defay (Daniel) and Brad Smith (Miranda); his grandchildren, Erin Duke (Elizabeth), Cheslee Duke, Josh Stephens, Gunnar Whaley, Hannah Whaley, Calvin Smith, Carson Smith, Corbin Smith and Randy Smith; his stepgrandchildren, Ava Defay, Blair Smith and Eli Smith; his granddaughter-in-law Melissa Duke; and his brother Eddie Haynes (Harriet). He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will accept flowers, or a donation can be made in Mr. Haynes' name to an organization that helps with Alzheimer's research.
