He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Ford, Sr. and Audrey Marie Ford; his siblings, Johnny Ford, Elmer Ford, Herschel Ford and Audrey Montsesano; and his grandson Blake Ezell.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Allison Ford; his children, Anne Ford Key of Anniston, David Ford (Jo Rhea), Glenn Ford (Rhonda) of Oxford and Mike Ezell (Bethany) of Lithia; his grandchildren, Dee Dee Lloyd (Chris) of Anniston, John David Ford of Rogers, AR, Meagan Ford of Oxford and Jacob Ezell (Keri) of Lithia; his siblings, Mary Lavender of Homewood, Sara Thomas (Lilburn) of Anniston and Milton Ford (Judy) of Anniston; and his pet Molly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Until the pandemic disrupted life, he and his wife were part of a group that visited local skilled care facilities each week to sing hymns for residents and volunteered at the Oxford Senior Center.
