He was predeceased by: his father Franklin Benefield; and his grandparents, Morgan Benefield, Lurlene Johnson and Fred Johnson. He is survived by: his daughters, Lyndsey Benefield and Anna Kate Benefield; his grandmother Marvelene Burch (C. W. Flynt) of Anniston, AL; his brother Dustin Pruitt of Anniston, AL.; and his mother Janice Johnson Lybrand of Oxford, AL.

Memorials may be floral, family requests potted houseplants, or donations may be made to any suicide prevention awareness organization.
