He was predeceased by: his wife Monteal Roach Smith; his parents, Jerry Smith and Gertrude Smith; and his sister Ellenor Brown. He is survived by: his daughters, Tracy Smith Stroup of Oxford and Vivian Harvey (Charles); and his grandson Justin Stroup. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
