It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edgar Houston of Oxford, Alabama, who passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eleanor Houston and Colonel Houston; his son Sammy Lyn Houston; and his brother Donald Eugene Houston. He is survived by: his wife Terri Worthy Houston; his children, Rhiannon Rene'Connolly (Jerald) and Jordan Travis Houston (Meghan); his sister Belvia Lou Brandsma (Dave); and his sister-in-law Stella Houston. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Forest Lawn Gardens (730 Golden Springs Rd, Anniston, AL 36207). Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Hunter Street Baptist Church (2600 John Hawkins Pkwy, Hoover, AL 35244). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Samaritan's Purse, in Eddie's honor.
