He is survived by: his wife Paula Beard Smith; his children, David Ray Smith, Jr. (Caryn) and Marilyn Smith (Dakota); his grandchildren, Harley Smith, Alicia Pruitt, David Lamar Smith (April), Johnathon Smith (Morgan) and Nikkalas Gannon; his great grandchild Niles Smith; his brother Dannie Smith (Carla); and his brother-in-law Joe Beard (Sheila). He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
