It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dale F. Held of Oxford, Alabama, who passed away on August 31, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Marquis; his son Dr. Jeff Held; his sister Helen Black; and his daughter Anita Ball. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Cody Held; his children, Ruth Hyatt (David) of Ohio, Shannon Held of Texas, Catherine Held of Texas, Jene Held of Ohio, Brian Held of Knoxville and Anthony Martin (Janie); his brother Travis Craven; and his cousin Lee Mathers. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
