He was predeceased by: his sisters, Roberta Jackson, Mary Middleton and Barbara Brewer of Jackson, AL.. He is survived by: his wife Paula Carter McCants of Jay, FL.; his children, Nathan Stacy McCants (Allison) of Tuscaloosa, AL and Dallas McCants Howell (Rob) of Spanish Fort, AL.; his grandchildren, Lillie Catherine Howell, Joseph Clark Howell of Spanish Fort, AL, Nathan Harrison McCants, Josie Catherine McCants and Charles James McCants of Tuscaloosa, AL.; and his siblings, Betty Ann Nichols (Roland), John Roberts McCants Jr. (Janet) of Jackson, AL and Dinah McCants Ellis of Daphne, AL.. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
