He was predeceased by: his parents, James Francis and Ivel Patterson Caldwell. He is survived by: his wife Sarah DeJarnette Caldwell; his daughters, Lavanda Caldwell Wagenheim (Herbert Riggs) and Jeannette Caldwell Thompson (Nathan); his grandchildren, Sarah Virginia Wagenheim, Hannah and Caleb Thompson; and his siblings, Josephine "Jo" Frances Findlay (Charles), Vera Elizabeth "Beth" Caldwell Moore (Terry) and Henry Scott "Diz" Caldwell (Trish). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
