It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rickey Grant of Opp, Alabama, who passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Jowers Grant and Gervis E. Grant; and his brother Ray Grant. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Bowers; his granddaughter Megan Grant Anderson (Josh); his sons, Jason Grant (Jerri) and Kevin Grant (Brittney); his brother Mark Grant (Kim); his grandchildren, Jaden Grant, Andrew Grant, Bentley Grant, Gaige Grant and Hadlee Anderson; his uncle Larry Grant (Leona); and his caregiver Lynn Gunter.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Opp Church of Christ (901 E Hart Ave, Opp, AL 36467). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at the Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens (Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens, AL-52, Opp, AL 36467).
