She was predeceased by: her husband William "Willie" McCart; her grandson Zachery; her sisters, Vurnie Mae Merritt Mitchell, Mamie Jewel Merritt, Minnie L. Merritt West Long, Lucille Merritt Johnson, Evelene Merritt Powell Stinson, Linnie Merritt "Monk" Mason and Infant Pauleen Merritt; and her parents, Florence Jackson Merritt and William Henry Merritt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joyce McCart Cordle (Al), Kathy McCart Graham (Bill Frank) and Joan McCart; and her grandchildren, Scott Killough, Tami, Amy Jordan, Kevin, Todd Killough, Allen Downing, Lori Barnes, Kenneth, Shayne Wyatt, Beverly and Chancey Wyatt. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wyatt Funeral Home (1018 Florala Hwy, Opp, AL 36467). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel (1018 Florala Hwy, Opp, AL 36467). A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
