She was predeceased by: her father John Spratling; and her brother Larry Spratling. She is survived by: her mother Peggy Spratling (Godfrey); her husband Dr. William David McDonald; her children, Paul and Beth Simms; her sisters, Kay Whitten and Margaret Gurley; and her grandchildren, Whit and Henry Simms. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
