With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shelby Davis Worley (Opelika, Alabama), born in Russellville, Alabama, who passed away on April 16, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Shelby Davis leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Shelby Davis may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Shelby L. Worley and Betty L. Davis. He is survived by: his sons, Christopher Gordon Worley (Brittany) of Los Alamos and Brian Scott Worley (Yolanda) of East London; his grandchildren, Sarah of Chicago, Ryan of Colorado Springs, John of Los Alamos and Olivia; and his sons, Owen and Musa.
Memorial contributions will be welcomed by the Auburn University Foundation designated for the Shelby D and Karen H Worley Professorship in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Auburn University. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the Community Market Food Pantry located at 3810 C Pepperell Parkway, Opelika, AL 36801.
