Sara Taunton Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 4, 2021, at the age of 95, Sara Taunton (Opelika, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Earlie McKelvey and Kate McKelvey (Scroggins); her husband JT; and her sisters, Marguerette (Rovene Milam), Mary Ann (James Barton) and Helen (Lawton Pemberton).

She is survived by: her son JT Taunton, Jr. (Nancy); her grandsons, Derek (Shannon) and Brent (Gabriela); her great grandchildren, Jennifer (Jake Phillips), Brooks, Daniel and David; and her nieces and nephews, Bobby Lee Taunton (Wanda), Syble Pemberton Johnston, Jimmy Pemberton, Ray Taunton, Gail Taunton McGrady, Earl Milam, Becky Jane Taunton Mann and Debra Taunton McDonald.
