She was predeceased by: her father Aaron Curenton; and her brothers, Aaron R. Curenton and Johnny L. Curenton. She is survived by: her mother Elizabeth Ann Nugent Curenton; her husband David D. Stokes of Opelika, AL; her sons, Robert W. Harrell, Westley K. Harrell (Kendall Comins), Jeremy A. Stokes (Amber L. Chambers) and Justin D. Stokes; her siblings, Janie McPherson (Larry) and Thomas E. Curenton; and her grandchildren, Westley M. Harrell and Bentley D. Morgan. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
