It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Joyce Harper of Opelika, Alabama, born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who passed away on March 16, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleveland O. Wheat, Sr. and Ernestine Stillwell Wheat; her husband Emory Vernon "Dink" Harper; her sons, Ricky Monroe Harper and Jeffrey Dale Harper; her brothers, James Monroe Wheat and Robert Sherrill Wheat; and her pet Tinker.
