It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita F. Carswell of Opelika, Alabama, who passed away on November 15, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rita F. Carswell to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Harry Virgil Nicholas and Agnes Brogdon Nicholas; her parents, G. Thomas Kelley and Virginia Faye Kelley; and her siblings, Thomas Francis Kelley and Carol Kelley Mills.

She is survived by: her sister Dona Gwen Satterwhite (Randy); her children, Kim Marie McCormick, Kellie Michelle Coker and Russell "Rusty" Thomas Henson (Deanna); her grandchildren, Adrienne Long (Kevin), Nathan Coker (Mollie), Kyle Coker (Brittany), Ashley Wyatt (Jeremy), Kacie Coker, Hunter Henson and Catherine Henson; and her great grandchildren, Evan Long, Mason Long, Owen Long and Waylon Wyatt.

In lieu of flowers Rita wanted donations to be made to The Central Alabama Emmaus Community.
