She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Carson Samuels; her parents, Dock Gilley and Frances Gilley; and her sister Irene Soyars. She is survived by: her brother Dock Gilley, Jr. (Cheri); her children, Dawn Gray (William) and Matthew Samuels (Braley); her grandchildren, Lauren Chastain (Shaun), Kensley Lomax (Brian), Mallory Seagraves (Corey), Anna Carson Money (Taylor) and Davis Samuels; and her great grandchildren, Bella Grayce, Brody, Barrett Chastain, Grayson, Cooper Seagraves and Eliza Jane Money.
A graveside service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Garden Hill Cemetery (1218 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801).
