She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Hamer and Lea Hamer; her husband George Murphy; her siblings, Howard Hamer, Marvin "Bud" Hamer, Doris Kubly and Norma Johnson; and her sister-in-law Alice Murphy.
She is survived by: her children, Mark A. Murphy (Cynthia) of Auburn and Sherrie M. Stanyard (Larry) of Auburn; her grandchildren, Alice Murphy (LB) of Asheville, NC, Jenna Morgan of Auburn, AL, Kevin Murphy (Sally) of Florence, AL, Sherry Hurst (Richard) of Salem, AL, Allen Stanyard of Blossvale, NY and Jason Morgan of Pell City, AL; and her sister Phyllis Bauman of Eagle Grove, IA.
