“Janet and family - so terribly sorry that we have lost Malcolm - he was a good man! We hadn't been in touch much in the last years - living halfway across the country does that, sadly. But growing up we were close when we were little, then a short time we all lived in Columbia. I'll never forget the night Burdette got home from Vietnam - at midnight I was pounding on the door [no phone yet] to ask him to go to St Louis w/me to pick him up. May your memories comfort you til you meet again.”
