It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Hawkins Thomas of Opelika, Alabama, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on September 11, 2021, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Edward Buckner; her brothers, Terry Buckner and Jamie Norred; and her grandson Cody Blake Holbrooks. She is survived by: her husband James L. Thomas; her children, Jenny Hawkins, William R. Hawkins, II and Casey Lynn Hawkins; and her siblings, Joann Childs, Nola Coshatt, Cathy McDonald, Ronald Buckner, Randy Aston, Perry Stringfellow and Johnny Buckner. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
