He is survived by: his wife Jane Florence of Columbus, GA; his children, Samantha Tolbert (Ernest) of Smiths Station, AL, Shawanda Florence (DeAndre Nelson) of Phenix City, AL, Tryone Florence of Columbus, GA, Roderick Florence of Columbus, GA and Leon Baker (Beatrice) of Columbus, GA; his grandchildren, Yarika Florence, Jasmine Florence, Birniquia Murray, Montavious Jones, Desiree Jones, Sandreal Jones, Samantha Jones, Zykeria Brown, Tatyana Walker, Felicity Walker, Rod'Kel Morgan, Kelvin Barnett, Teshia Barnett, Trameisha Ross and Tramarice Ross; his sisters, Annie Marshall (Robert) of Opelika, AL, Georgia Cooper (Walter) of Opelika, AL, Nancy Thomas (John) of Opelika, AL, Odell Gentry (Darnell) of Salem, AL and Edelena Davis (John) of Salem, AL; his sister-in-law Minnie Williams of Columbus, GA; his niece LaShanta Buchanon of Opelika, AL; his close friend Ruth Carlisle of Opelika, AL; and his friends, Charles Roberson of Opelika, AL, Mike Rivers of Opelika, AL and Vincent Reese of Opelika, AL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel, Apostle James Fears (515 S 6th St, Opelika, AL 36801).
