She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Thomason and Lavinia Smith Alley; her husband Thomas Jeff Parnell; her children, Allison Parnell of Ft. Lauderdale, Mitch Parnell (Liza Jane) of Omaha and Scott Parnell (Kelly) of Auburn, Alabama.; her grandchildren, Mitchell Parnell Jr., Elizabeth Parnell Tatum, Alley Parnell, Sarah Parnell and Thomas J. Parnell; her great grandchild Palmer Tatum; her sisters, Dixie Alley Segrest (Dorman) and Susan Alley Woodruff (Carl); her sister-in-law Sue McCurdy Alley; her cousin Betty Torbert; and her brother John Thomason Alley, Jr. (Lavinia). She was also cherished by several nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Helen Keller School – Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind.
