It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura McLeod O'Brien (Opelika, Alabama), born in Montgomery, Alabama, who passed away on March 2, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Francis McLeod Sr. and Kathleen Spooner McLeod of Dothan; her husband James Fred O'Brien Jr.; her brothers, Charles F. McLeod, Jr. (Carolyn) and James Ralph McLeod (Jean); and her siblings-in-law, Tate, Grace O'Brien, Roy and Mary V. O'Brien Cox.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Michael O'Brien (Pam) of Auburn and Becky O'Brien Curry (Derrel) of Birmingham; her grandchildren, Taylor Curry (Camber), Parker Curry (Megan) and Wil Clowdus Shalisa O'Brien (Lainey); and her great grandchildren, Trey Grantham, Chase Grantham and Lauren Curry. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews and special family friends.
