He is survived by: his wife Kitzi Dawson of Opelika, AL; his daughter Tiffany Duncan (Jimmy) of Anniston, AL; his stepchildren, Kiyasha Reid of Opelika, AL, Kyandra Reid of Opelika, AL, Keon Reid of Opelika, AL and Kamisha Cook (George) of Columbus, GA; his grandchildren, Alexzandria Taylor and Trentez Elston; his stepmother Georgia Dawson of Cusseta, AL; his siblings, Donald Dawson (Jennifer) of Opelika, AL, Aaron Dawson (Sherry) of Stonecrest, GA, Christopher Dawson (Kimberly) of Cleveland, OH, Lester Dawson (Traci) of Cleveland, OH, Julia Ruiz of Riverdale, GA and Linda Dowell (Kent) of Opelika, AL; his parents-in-law, Jimmy Lee Johnson (Annie) of Salem, AL and Barbara Allen of Opelika, AL; and his siblings-in-law, LaSonya Pitts (Avery) of Opelika, AL, Tina Stephens of Salem, AL, Annette Dawson of Opelika, AL, Jimmy Lee Johnson II of Birmingham, AL, Shaun Derrick Edwards (Marquetta) of Opelika, AL, Jimmy Lee Johnson, Jr. of Opelika, AL and Jijuan Knight of Auburn, AL. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, bonus children that was a vital part of his life, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The lying in state will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the True Deliverance Holiness Church (936 N Donahue Dr, Auburn, AL 36832). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
