He was predeceased by: his wife Cindy Miles Goree; his parents, William L. Goree Sr. and Jewell Goree; his parents-in-law, Charles and Mary Nell Miles; his sisters-in-law, Julie and Delia Goree; his nephews, Jimmy Karl Goree Jr. and David Darnell; and his great-niece Abbey Darnell.
He is survived by: his siblings, William L. Goree Jr. (Jill) of Opelika, Danny R. Goree of Opelika, Jimmy K. Goree (Pam) of Opelika and Susan Goree Goslin of Opelika; his nephew Christopher Michael Goree of Atlanta, GA.; his nieces, Jill Goree Darnell, Shellie Goree Smith (Jeff) of Opelika and Jeannie Goree Peden (Josh) of Pensacola, FL.; his great-niece Grace Darnell (K. C. Moore); his great-nephews, Jackson Darnell, Davis Peden, Grayson Smith, Grant Smith and William Goslin; and his cousin Linda Murchison (John) of Niceville, FL..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home (1500 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Garden Hill Cemetery (1218 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801).
Flowers will be accepted, or donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Mr. Goree's memory.
