He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Johnson Haynes and Sallie Mae Haynes of Opelika; his children, Johnson "Jay" Haynes III (Myrtis), Ryan Haynes, Austin McGrew-Haynes and Carly Robbins Tucker; his goddaughter Kelli Samantha Watson; his sister Linda Summers (Leanadous); his nephew Brent Summers; his nieces, Kwanzaa Summers White (James) and Cynthia Clark; his great-niece Alexandra; and his caregiver Dr. Linda Lash Haynes. He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.
