He is survived by: his children, Sean and Meg; the mother of his children Mary; his grandchildren, Lauren, Jake, Dillon, Frankie and Sadie; and his children-in-law, Matt and Lyn.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Frederick-Dean Funeral Home & Crematory (1801 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (1100 N College St, Auburn, AL 36830).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Auburn Public Library in John's memory. Checks need made out the Auburn Public Library Foundation.
