He was predeceased by: his parents, John Francis "Jack" and Frances Conrey Meagher; his wife Agnes Nearing Meagher; and his siblings, Bill Meagher, Marilyn Perry, Richard "Dick" Meagher, Michael "Mickey" Meagher and Patrick Conrey "Pat" Meagher.
He is survived by: his children, John Meagher III, Tom Meagher (Teddi) and Cecilia Rusell (Dan); and his grandchildren, Mallory Drake (Reagan), Thomas Patrick Meagher, Jr., Malcolm Lawrence Russell, II and Daniel Graham Russell.
