He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Askew, Sr. and Maude Farrar Askew; and his siblings, Margaret Askew and Jim Askew. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his daughters, Phyllis Boswell (Al) and Kathie Wallace; his grandchildren, Emily Fuller (Andy), Will Wallace, Tucker Boswell and Kate Bishop (Nick); his great grandchildren, Prudence Fuller, Hudson Boswell, Davis Boswell, Luke Bishop and Erik Bishop; his siblings, Maxine Mann and Jerrell Askew; his sister-in-law Drucilla White; and also, Linda Newsome, Carolyn Wilson, Angel Allen, Wendy Swiney, Cindy Darby and Enhabit. He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
