He is survived by: his wife Willie Bell Mercer; his children, Earnestine Mercer of Opelika, Alabama and Randy Lee Huguley of Phenix City, Alabama; his grandchildren, Kenneth Keon Mercer of Atlanta, Georgia, Jade Harrow of Columbus, Georgia, Amber Settels of Columbus, Georgia, Erika Harrow of Columbus, Georgia and Terrell Sauls of Columbus, Georgia; and his sisters-in-law, Ethel B. Richardson of Opelika, Alabama, Annie Jean Pitts of Opelika, Alabama, Ethel Parker of Opelika, Alabama, Elvester Jones (Johnny L., Sr.) of Opelika, Alabama, Sarah Eiland of Columbus and Renner Mercer of Salem, Alabama. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
