He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta Wilhite; his brothers, Freddie and Doug Wilhite; and his parents, Dumah "Shorty" and Josephine "Joe" Wilhite.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Wilhite of Wetumpka, Terry Wilhite of Auburn and Jerry Wilhite, Jr. (Nikki) of Beauregard; and his sibling Robbin Wilhite of Opelika. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
