He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ramsey and Cornelia Ledford Ramsey; and his daughter Mariekia Ramsey. He is survived by: his wife Della Faye Sims Ramsey; his children, Monekia McFalls (Maurice), Isom Ramsey (Rhonda), Melette Ramsey, Robert Sims (Rita) and Debbie Massengale (Dwayne); his sisters, Aldie Tipton and Maxine Cosby; and his sister-in-law Jackie Holt. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
