He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Higgins and Lee Higgins; and his son James Michael Higgins. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Johnson Higgins of Opelika, AL; his children, Lori Drab (Steve) of Castle Rock, CO, Christopher Scott Higgins of Opelika, AL and Suzanne Cooper (Hal) of Auburn, AL; and his siblings, Joe T. Higgins and Dottie Hayes. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
