He was predeceased by: his father Homer E Speir (Buster); and his brother Andy Speir. He is survived by: his sons, Ryan Speir (Norady), Richard Speir and Russell Speir; his grandsons, Sikes and James; his nephew Will Speir; his sister Jeanne Hamilton (Steve); his wife Candace Coker Speir; and his friends, Buddy Wall, Jonny Washburn, Joe Edwards and Bert.
