He was predeceased by: his parents, Bascom Horn and Opal Sparks Horn; his wife Ella Janet Freeman Horn; his son Mike Thompson of Opelika; his siblings, Arnold Horn, Jerome Horn, Harrison Horn, Darrell Horn, Sharon Horn and Alma Jean Horn; and his sisters-in-law, Susan Horn and Janet Horn.
He is survived by: his children, Jan Lipham (Steve), Debra Bennett (Mike) and Van Thompson; his daughter-in-law Diane Thompson; his grandchildren, Jeff Thompson (Deana), Carrie Ryan (Matt), Jared Hilyer (Abby), Shelley Young, Natalie Warren (Aaron) and Katie Caroline Klumpp (Murphy); his brothers, Bascom Horn and Archer Horn; and his sister-in-law Kay Horn.
