We are sad to announce that on August 24, 2023, at the age of 82, Gayle Smith Melton (Opelika, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henry Broughton Smith and Elma Jowers Smith; her sibling Opelika; her husband Pep Melton; her children, Allyson Pierce and Spearman Melton; her grandson Braison Pierce; and also Timothy Edward Pierce.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
