It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Fred Thomas Duke Jr. of Opelika, Alabama, who passed away on August 30, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Thomas Duke, Sr. and Nonie Ermon Bell Duke; and his wife Marjorie Nellene Duke. He is survived by: his children, Joey Duke (Deborah) of Opelika, Dale Bruner of Harriman, TN, Ronnie Bruner (Jan) of Long Beach, MS and Anne Varner of Auburn; and his sisters, Jean Mullens and Nona Flagg. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the East Alabama Humane Society in Phenix City, former home of his faithful companion, Bitsy.
