She is survived by: her children, Innikka Thornton of Opelika, AL, Decarlos Thornton, Sr. of Cincinnati, OH and Dontavious Thornton of Opelika, AL; her siblings, Alice Chambers of Atlanta, GA, Diane Thornton of Opelika, AL, Joe Lewis Thornton of Opelika, AL, Robert Thornton (Cynthia) of Opelika, AL, Jerry Thornton (Ruby) of Auburn, AL and Tyrone Thornton (Karla) of Villa Rica, GA; her aunts, Mary Ann Thornton of Atlanta, GA, Mary Lillie Thornton of Opelika, AL, Mary Jimmie Thornton of Opelika, AL, Christine Thornton of Rex, GA and Patricia McGuire (Robert) of Decatur, GA; and her close friend Austin James of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, devoted caregivers.
Viewing will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (432 Maple Ave, Opelika, AL 36801).
