It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Myrick (Opelika, Alabama), who passed away on December 7, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Artis Myrick and Mavis Myrick. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Long Myrick; his children, Connie Ivey (Michael) and Chris Myrick (Deborah); his stepchildren, Jerry Ray, Tim Ray and Vicki Ware (Joe); and his siblings, Sandra McDaniel and Melvin Myrick (Kathy). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
