She was predeceased by: her parents, Irene Chandler and Ormand Chandler of Gardendale; her parents-in-law, Ruth and Earl Kennedy; and her brothers, Ray Chandler and Ormand Sewell Chandler.

She is survived by: her husband Coach Houston Kennedy; her daughters, Kara Kennedy, Kim Hagan and Jessica Cheek (Christopher); her grandchildren, Chandler Ethridge (Kelly), Lauren Hagan, Sean Hagan, Brooklyn Cheek and Aubree Cheek; and her siblings, Terri Chandler and Dronnie Chandler (Aneda). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
