He was predeceased by : his parents, William Halsell Ryan, Jr. and Navy. He is survived by : his wife Katrina; his son Tabb; his stepchildren, Katie Mitchell (Taylor) and Hunter Herbert; and his siblings, Will, Allen and Lee.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 10th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the First Baptist Church of Opelika South (301 S 8th St, Opelika, AL 36801). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 10th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Magnolia Cemetery.

Rather than sending flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alabama State Trooper Association.
