He is survived by: his wife Ila Ann (Maddox); his sister Joanne Martin; his children, David Elkins (Daralyn) of Huntsville, AL and Dianna Hill (Andy) of Athens, GA; his grandchildren, Taylor Douthit (Micah), Ryan Elkins (Rachel), Olivia Hardy (Liam), Madeline Thompson (Micah), Abigail Hill and Jack Elkins; and his great grandchildren, Charles, Elizabeth Jane, Reese and Ellis.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home (1500 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
