He is survived by: his children, Tommy Waldroup, Cecil, Waldroup II (Ashley Waldroup), Trever Waldroup and Mary Leigh Hurston (Frank Hurston); his brothers, Wayne Waldroup and James Michael Waldroup; and his grandchildren, Taylor Waldroup, Cecil "Tater" Waldroup and Baby Hurston.

A memorial service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Frederick-Dean Funeral Home (1801 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801).
