With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine P Bowen of Opelika, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 1, 2025 at the age of 85. In the vast expanse of eternity, Catherine shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Catherine farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Davis and Lorine Davis of Opelika, Alabama; her husband Robert E. Bowen of Valley, Alabama; and her son Richard Bowen (Rick) of Valley, Alabama.. She is survived by: her sister Jeanie Arrington (Wendell) of LaGrange, Georgia; her grandchildren, Karina McDavit (Shawn), Rebekah Potts (Hunter) and Larry Senn; and her nieces, Jeanette Gresham (Chris) of Opelika and Cindy Draper (Josh) of Valley. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Frederick-Dean Funeral Home & Crematory (1801 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
