He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Wheeler Coggins and Lurleen Coggins; his wife Marion; and his nephew Ronald Pearce. He is survived by: his siblings, Betty Gazzini, Shirley Welch, Jimmy Coggins (Ruth) and Marie Barley; and his nieces and nephews, Larry Gazzini (Debbi), Kay McManus (Eddie), Belinda Miles (Keith), Katrina Duffey (Zach), Mike Burke, David Burke and Kevin Wilson.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in LaFayette in his memory.
