With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma Lillian Mikell of Oneonta, Alabama, who passed away on May 21, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Carter Winnett and Clara Mae Winnett; her husband Billy Joe Mikell of Corner; and her sister Bernice Shuggart. She is survived by: her sons, Larry Mikell (Teresa), Billy and Jerome Mikell (Debra); her siblings, Amos, Morris, Horace Winnett and Sheila Gregory; and her sister-in-law Doris Shipp. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
