He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Cox and Daffie Vandergriff Cox; his brothers, Preston Eugene "Gene" Cox and Donald Ray Cox; his niece Donna Lynne McCay; and his brothers-in-law, JD Stephenson and Johnny McAnnally.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joyce Stephenson, Joanne McCay (William), Nancy McAnnally, Roy Cox and Mike Cox; and his sisters-in-law, Velma Cox and Glenda Cox.
