He was predeceased by: his parents, Hutsey Alvin Martin and Beatrice Curtis Martin; his son Joel Eugene Martin; and his siblings, Curtis Martin, Sarah Parker, Eunice Brookes, Bobbie Nell Childress and Rebecca Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Martin; his children, Michael "Tex" Martin, Shelley Huggins (Michael) and Tracey Martin; his grandchildren, Kelcey Stephenson (Joe), Allison Grier and Chloe Martin; and his great grandchildren, Rayne Stephenson and Jordan Stephenson.
